I'm a Nailsea/Backwell postie and on the 5th may at 11am i am doing a sponsored abseil from the roof of Bristol City's football ground, along with Hayley, a retained firefighter at Nailsea fire station, to raise funds for the Great Western air ambulance. 

 

This service is vital for rural communities including ours,  where travel time/distance and a lack of ambulances can literally mean a matter of life or death. During the last month alone the air ambulance attended 5 incidents in the North somerset area, 15 in Gloucestershire and many more across Bath and North East Somerset.

 

Each attendance at an incident costs £2000.  This vital service is solely funded by donations and deals with incidents ranging from premature births, car accidents and with 30% of all attendances being cardiac arrests.

 

To show our appreciation of the work they do and raise money for this amazing charity, we are daring the drop.... and abseiling 75ft from the roof of Bristol City football ground!
