Bevan Brittan's 2021 Bristol Half/10K and Uphill Abseil Team Page
Bevan Brittan - Bristol Half/10K and Abseil Team Page!
My Story
Heroes from Bevans' Bristol Office will be pounding the pavements and jumping from cliffs over the coming weeks in aid of their local air ambulance, Great Western Air Ambulance Charity.
Show your support by donating to this page, which will all feed into our Bevans' totaliser! With the help of supporters like you, Great Western Air Ambulance Charity can continue to be there for people in times of desperate need. Their Critical Care Team is tasked to the most critically ill and injured patients in our shared local community and it’s your kindness and generosity that keeps them here, right here, and ready to respond. That’s right, you keep them flying!
Bristol 10k/Half
Whether you’re a regular runner looking for an event to focus your training, a finisher of many half marathons before, or even a first-time jogger wanting to take on a life-changing challenge, running the Bristol Half Marathon or the 10K with Team GWAAC is the way to go.
To register your interest as a runner, a volunteer 'cheer squad' member, or to find out more on what's invovled, please email [email protected].
Why run for GWAAC?
Great Western Air Ambulance Charity is one of the busiest air ambulance services in the South West, serving a population of 2.1 million people. In 2020 they attended over 1,700 patients. By taking part in the this amazing event, you will not only have a brilliant race-day experience, you will also be supporting a local lifesaving service.
How much?
Free entry for Bevans' staff, but all of us together will be aiming to raise enough to fund an ENTIRE mission, which they reckon costs them £2000. For help on fundraising (including information on how to set up online pages or just general tips) please contact GWAAC or visit their website.
We look forward to seeing you on the start-line!
Abseil!
Get a head for heights and feel what GWAAC's crew go through every time they take off in their helicopter! Take on the 100ft high cliffs, marvel at the amazing sea views, and support your local air ambulance all at the same time.
Don’t worry, if you haven’t done anything like this before there will be expert instructors to put you at ease and ensure you are fully prepared for the challenge!
If you have any questions about the event, please email GWAAC's events coordinator, Tom: [email protected]
Where?
Uphill, Weston-super-Mare, BS23 4XR.
