Within five minutes of receiving a call, the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity team can be on their way to an incident. When responding to a medical emergency, every second counts.

Make your seconds count by signing up to the Bristol Half Marathon 2021 as part of Team GWAAC. General entries are sold out, but you can get a guaranteed place for just £20 by registering with GWAAC with a fundraising target of £200. You will get to experience one of the best half marathon events in the UK, as well as supporting a lifesaving service.

As part of Team GWAAC, you will recieve:

- A training plan devised by one of our Critical Care Doctors.
- A free GWAAC running vest and water bottle.
- The opportunity for a guided tour of our airbase (subject to COVID restrictions).

Great Western Air Ambulance Charity is one of the busiest air ambulance services in the South West, serving a population of 2.1 million people. In 2020 we attended over 1,700 patients. Our team of Critical Care Doctors and Specialist Paramedics are called to an average of 5 incidents a day, at least one of which will be a patient in cardiac arrest. From emergency cesareans to roadside amputations, blood transfusions to emergency anaesthetics, GWAAC's crew bring the skill and equipment of the emergency department out to where it is most needed.

We are a charity funded by donations from the public. We receive no day to day government or national lottery funding. We couldn't keep flying without people like you and without the ongoing support of the people we serve, so thank you!
